Hicks & Company performed ecological surveys on the La Palangana Ranch as part of the La Palangana In Situ Recovery (ISR) Project in support of obtaining a radioactive material license (uranium mine) expansion permit. Efforts to support the expansion permit included quantitative plant surveys; jurisdictional waters (including wetlands) delineations; threatened and endangered species habitat assessment; bird surveys; and general wildlife surveys. The application was submitted to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.
