Hicks & Company ecologists assisted City of Austin biologists with enumeration surveys for the federally threatened Bracted Twistflower (Streptanthus bracteatus) at known locations in Travis County, Texas. Surveys were conducted over the peak blooming period in late April and early May 2023. Data collected on each plant included growth stage, number of fruits, and signs of mildew, insect damage, or herbivory. Surveys resulted in documenting an above-average number of plants across all surveyed sites.
