In 2015, Hicks & Company completed an Environmental Assessment, including a Wetland Delineation Report, for the Swing Bridge Replacement Project on FM 457 in Matagorda County. The field survey was conducted under the 1987 Corps of Engineers Wetland Delineation Manual and Regional Supplement to the Corps of Engineers Wetland Delineation Manual: Atlantic and Gulf Coastal Plain Region (Version 2.0). The report included photographic documentation and maps of the delineated area. Also documented as part of the proposed project were potential indirect and cumulative impacts to eight federally listed species, four state-listed species, and eight Species of Greatest Conservation Need. A FONSI was issued for the proposed project in March 2016.
