Hicks & Company prepared a geologic assessment for a 63.1-acre residential and commercial development project in San Marcos. The project area is located over the regulated Edwards Aquifer and included plans for a 1,700-foot force main sewer line. The geologic assessment was prepared for inclusion in the project’s Water Pollution Abatement Plan and Organized Sewage Collection System plan. Hicks & Company also investigated several karst features identified during construction that required coordination with the TCEQ and the City of San Marcos, including one cave that required design of a buffer zone setback and another that required a closure plan.
