Hicks & Company provided Environmental Task Lead Services in the Design and Pre-Construction phases of the Loop 375 Border Highway West Extension Project. Work included the preparation of five Comprehensive Environmental Protection Plan (CEPP) documents, including: an Environmental Management System (EMS), an Environmental Compliance and Mitigation Plan (ECMP), an Environmental Protection Training Plan (EPTP) and a Recycling Plan, in addition to the overarching CEPP document. Additional project tasks involved the production of materials for, and facilitation of, a bilingual environmental training program in accordance with the requirements of the Development Agreement’s (DAs) Technical Provisions; conducting a Risk Analysis of current testing methods as used for ASARCO Materials Classification; carrying out migratory bird surveys in and around the project area; the preparation of Re-Evaluations for environmental approvals as required by TxDOT; serving as the Environmental Task Lead for Design; performing work to develop Environmental Permits, Issues and Commitments (EPIC) Sheets for design submittals; and conducting  environmental studies, surveys, coordination and permitting support.
