Geologic Assessment for inclusion in a Water Pollution Abatement Plan (WPAP)

Hicks & Company completed a geologic assessment for 5.5-miles of I-35 from RM 1431 to SH 45N in Williamson County.  The geologic assessment was prepared for inclusion in the project’s site-specific Edwards Aquifer Water Pollution Abatement Plan (WPAP) for construction activities over the Edwards Aquifer Recharge Zone (EARZ). The purpose of the report was to identify all potential pathways for contamination movement to the Edwards Aquifer and provide sufficient geologic information so the appropriate Best Management Practices (BMPs) could be proposed in the project’s WPAP.  The geologic assessment was conducted in accordance with TCEQ guidelines and included a field survey, evaluation of potential aquifer recharge, and report preparation. 2014
